Responsiveness
Responsiveness is a permanent and integral part of the Locke Reynolds culture. Many firms say they are responsive to clients, but Locke is responsive to you in measurable ways.
Guiding Philosophy
Though it may sometimes be difficult to distinguish the relative skills or one attorney from the other, or the work product of one firm from another, you certainly know when attorneys are responsive or not. Surveys consistently show that clients rate responsiveness as a crucial factor in selecting and retaining attorneys and law firms.
As practiced throughout Locke Reynolds, responsiveness sets us apart from the other firms doing high-quality work. Everyone wins - good results for you, appreciative clients for us which in turn, brings more new business and greater enjoyment of law practice.
Guiding Principles
Responsiveness is a habit, a self-reinforcing state of mind that evolves from a firm-wide commitment. There are six guiding principles:
- Accessible to you and to each other - we strive to be prompt, courteous and efficient in communications with clients, colleagues and staff.
- Attend promptly to your business - this includes, but is not limited to performing in a proactive way that shifts the burden of going forward to the other parties, so that the client sees that Locke Reynolds is advancing the client's interest.
- Understand your entire business and demonstrate active interest in that business (including its products, services, market position, goals, organizational structure, competitors, etc.) to help you avoid or solve problems and fully realize opportunities.
- Report frequently - keep you informed about what we have done and what remains on each project or case.
- Accountability (including introspection and accurate self-reporting) - let you and our colleagues know if we are less responsive than we could be.
- Conscious work habits - make responsiveness "second nature," permeating all aspects of how we practice law.
