Locke Reynolds Sponsors Diversity Scholarship for Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County
INDIANAPOLIS, November 2005 – Locke Reynolds recently committed to a full scholarship to sponsor a candidate's participation in Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County (LBMC), an eight month leadership program sponsored by Indiana University and the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. The scholarship will be used to enhance the diversity of the program.
The purpose of Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County is to build a stronger community by identifying a cross-section of emerging leaders and preparing them for roles in shaping the future. In addition to attending the regular sessions, each participant works in a community project group with four or five other participants to develop a project that addresses a selected community concern. Each community project group meets outside the regularly scheduled sessions to explore a current issue in depth and to plan and implement a course of action.
John H. Daerr , an alumni of the LBMC program, was appointed to the LBMC Alumni Board in November. Mr. Daerr is a partner, a member of the Firm's Management Committee and chair of the Firm's Tort Litigation Group. He practices in the areas of tort litigation and insurance services, business litigation, employment litigation, and professional malpractice.
