Locke Reynolds LLP Announces New Chair of Management Committee
Nelson Alexander Elected Chair After Julia Blackwell Gelinas Resigns
INDIANAPOLIS, July 2005 – Nelson D. Alexander was recently elected Chair of the Firm's Management Committee. The election followed the resignation of Julia Blackwell Gelinas as Chair; she will continue to serve on the Management Committee.
“It seemed like a good opportunity to step back and concentrate on my practice full time,” Julia Blackwell Gelinas.
Mr. Alexander practices in the Business Litigation, Products Liability and Appellate Groups. He is licensed to practice in Indiana state and federal courts, the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. In 1999, Mr. Alexander was named a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, and in 2000, he received the Indianapolis Bar Association's Young Lawyer of the Year Award. Mr. Alexander was also recognized in Indianapolis Monthly as a 2005 “Super Lawyer.” In addition, he serves on the Indianapolis Bar Foundation's Board of Directors.

James Dimos and Mark J. Roberts were elected to serve a two-year term on the Management Committee. They join Mr. Alexander, Ms. Gelinas and Mr. John H. Daerr .
Mr. Dimos is a partner of Locke Reynolds and chair of the Firm's Intellectual Property Group. His practice involves addressing the litigation needs of the business community in the areas of intellectual property, business, and construction disputes. He also assists clients in administrative and regulatory dealings with federal, state and local governments.
Mark J. Roberts is a partner and chair of the Firm's Family Law Group. He concentrates his practice in divorce, family law, motor carrier accident litigation, attorney malpractice defense and complex personal injury litigation. Mr. Roberts has more than 25 years of experience in complex family law matters, including divorce litigation, custody disputes, pre-marital agreements, paternity, divorce planning, allocation of college expenses, child support, marital torts, protective orders and post-divorce issues.
