Appeals for the 7th, 8th, and 10th Circuits, the United States District Courts for

Representative Matters:
- Reynolds v. Pennsylvania Higher Educ. Assistance Agency, 425 F.3d 526 (8th Cir. 2005), cert. denied, 127 S.Ct. 46 (2006). Successfully protected a
groundbreaking bankruptcy opinion on appeal to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and, ultimately, on petition for certiori to the United States Supreme
Court. Pro bono case.
- State Farm Fire & Casualty v. Aquila, Inc., 697 N.W.2d 636 (Minn. App.
2005). Obtained appellate court reversal of summary judgment. Appellate
court determined, contrary to the trial court's ruling, that a natural gas
provider could be found liable for the defective nature of its pipeline system
without specific knowledge of a defect, and that Minnesota's statute of
repose did not preclude recovery for damages caused by a gas explosion.
